Hi! Welcome to Kat's Closet!
Kat's Closet - Scarves

We are an internet-based fashion boutique run out of Southern Oregon, and here to serve! All items offered here (excluding the Factory Made section, as the name implies) are 100% handcrafted - not even a sewing machine has been used thus far. Every single knot in your scarf, every last stitch binding your totebag together was done personally by me, by hand. You will find a small selection of a vast variety of fashion accessories here, all unique and one-of-a-kind. No two bags, no matter how similar are ever exactly the same.
Custom orders are GLADLY accepted, infact prefered, so please feel more than welcome to inquire about anything!

Unfortunately due to the current financial situation we are in I am unable to accept trades. So sorry for any inconvenience, and hopefully we will ALL be back on our feet securely in the near future and I will be able to offer this service again!

Overall I'm very content with the items I purchased from Kat's Closet. (See pictures) The only real downfall I can find from the necklaces I purchased are that they're a little big on me (but I may just have a small neck.) and sort of itchy. The I wish the stoner necklace I purchased had a clasp-type thing like the surf's up necklaces does because I found it easier to put on and take off, and since they are a little big I can somewhat tighten it when I want it to be a choker. The stoner necklace, as I mentioned, is a little big and usually falls under my shirt because it doesn't stay tightened. But other than the size issue and somewhat scratchyness of the hemp material, I can find nothing wrong with these pieces. I am definitely hoping to buy more items in the future. (:

yeah that would be great! Which ones do you have, and what condition are they in?
I might definitely be interested in crafting you a bag in return for a movie and some pimpin' layoutness. Sound like something you may be in to?

Oh, and I have a picture of what i'd like it to look like if you need it (It's an iPod Shuffle, so you wouldn't need to make lots of holes. I found a pic. with the type of yarn and all that, plus the instructions to Crochet it. It's probably really easy, but I can't Crochet, so I don't know. Let me know something and we can work it out :)

I just added you- hope that's alright. I like your stuff.

This is my selling journal also- I've had some good luck selling on Ebay and Etsy.com so I thought I'd make a journal here also, to go along with my regular journal.

Wow! I recently came across your page and found all these amazing items! You're really good at what you do :).

Just wondering, though: where did you learn to crochet? I've been trying to figure out how forever and can't seem to decipher the single crochet needed to start a new line.

start with a loop, and bring the yarn between the knot and the skein of yarn through the loop with your hook. That's all there is to it. =)

this is a great site to help get you started. My grandmother taught me, which was really the best way to learn, but this is a close second.

http://www.stitchguide.com/stitches/crochet/index.html

Another good idea would be to find someone that crochets, or go to a local handspun yarn shop, and see if they do lessons in knitting & crocheting!

Good luck!
